revisited

I stood in the Louvre and craved what I saw. I could write an essay on The Entombment of Atala...if anyone's interested.
Oh, no? :(

Right now I crave black and whites.

And you. x

On the Streets of Sydney went live approximately 53 minutes ago and I'm already all over it like a rash. The above is favourite thus far and am uuuber excited for whats to come. It's about time cat was let out of the bag - Sydney, you're simply the best.

This was my weekend give or take a traditional Friday night unofficially-official Spinsters dinner + a too late a Saturday eve laying under the stars in the backyard.

TWIN. I down and outright love you. We are kindred spirits but in a magazine to human kind of spirited way.

The Visitor

Teorema by Pier Paolo Pasolini
"A strange visitor in a wealthy family. He seduces the maid, the son, the mother, the daughter and finally the father before leaving a few days after. After he's gone, none of them can continue living as they did. Who was that visitor?"

Enter new kids on the block, LP33.3 - one the finest labels Australia has had to offer in a long time.
"Like the film, the collection echoes a restrained desire and minimal sophistication that is at once modern and refined."

With a focus on fabric and craftsmanship LP33.3 simply screams luxe and brings a strong sense of boutiquey high end sophistication that has been missing from the AU market...until now.
My pick of the collection is the Shattered Dreams bell sleeve blouse - preorder is in and can hardly wait to have it's delicious double silk georgette hand stitched chantilly lace goodness in my hands ready to rock for this coming A/W. Eeeeeexcited!

Mark this as a one to watch. LP33.3

I can't pick one thing I don't love about this.

Any one in Sydney know where stocks Vogue Nippon and/or China? I was let down for the first time by Magnation. Crushed. Craving a new hit of inspiring, take-my-breath-away type editorials.

This photo & the story that goes with it almost sums up Halloween 2010 for me. Almost...but not quite, so expect more on this topic in the not too distant future.

I'm going camping for the weekend! So er yeah, I'll let you know how that goes. I'm taking a proper big comfy mattress which is going to prove to be either the best or worst idea I've had all week.
I'm not a princess yo. I just recognise that the spinal cord is the most important organ (nerve, tissue, system, whatever) in the body and must be treated with due care.

Mysterious, glamourised melancholy with an ever intriguing mix of reality and fantasy. This is Annie Liebovitz to me.

In case you didn't know....

The Museum of Contemporary Art and Events NSW are delighted to announce that Sydney will be the exclusive Australian venue for the exhibition Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer’s Life 1990–2005. The exhibition will open at the Museum of Contemporary Art on 19 November following a record-breaking tour in the US and Europe

My friend can testify to the fact that I went into a man coma as I stood jaw ajar in front of the larger than life Indigofera posters currently hanging in the windows of Paddingtons That Store.

I still don't really know what else can be said. But yeah. I'd be happy if the Father of my children resembled that long haired male creature in any way shape or form. Meow.

Massive love for Calle too. Absolute master at capturing essence.

That gold bangle has not left my wrist for 5 years. The shoes, they have walked in and out of many different countries, workplaces, lovers homes, my homes, cafes, shops and streets but my feet have stayed the same.

It's a new season!!! Take it as you will...
